It's All About the Volunteers!
The Festival is organized by dedicated community volunteers and representatives from dozens of organizations in Oxford County.

The Festival needs approximately 125 volunteers every day during the event for tasks such as:
- Festival set up or take down
- Interpreting activity stations*
- Volunteer registration
- Parking vehicles and buses
- Greeting students and teachers upon arrival
- Managing the lunch hour for our volunteers
- Grounds and facilities maintenance
- Supervising bus departure
*Please note that a minimum of one day’s commitment (8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) is required for all activity station volunteers.
If you volunteer during the Festival, you will receive:
- Free lunch the day(s) you are volunteering
- Free t-shirts to wear at the Festival, so you can be identified as a volunteer
The Festival is outdoors, rain or shine. Most volunteers will be on their feet, so be prepared with comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Volunteers should be16 years of age or older.
The Water Festival Organizing Committee will contact you prior to the Festival to confirm dates, time and tasks, and will provide an information manual.
If you would like more information, the Organizing Committee would be pleased to provide a presentation for your group.
